Privacy

I run a channel that talks about privacy, so this site collects as little as I could get away with. Plain-English version:

What I don't collect

The question form (/ask)

When you send a question, I store:

It's kept in a database on Cloudflare and copied into my private notes so I can answer it. If you said it's OK to answer on camera, I'll paraphrase the question. I'll never read out anything that identifies you.

The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block bots. Turnstile checks some technical details about your browser to tell people from scripts. That check is handled by Cloudflare under their Turnstile privacy policy. I don't get that data.

Want a question deleted? Since I don't know who sent what, I can't look it up by name. Send another question that starts with "DELETE" and quotes roughly what you wrote, and I'll remove it.

Visitor stats

I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see things like page views and which pages people read. It doesn't use cookies or fingerprint you, and it only gives me totals, not individual visitors.

Hosting

The site runs on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles your request (your IP address included) to deliver the page and stop attacks. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Where the questions come from

Besides the form, some questions I answer are paraphrased from public forums. I never store usernames, links to the original post, or screenshots.

Kids

This site isn't aimed at children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect anything from them.

Changes

If this changes (say, a newsletter shows up), I'll update this page and the date below.
